We will call a View everything that contains the primary content people see, such as text, graphics, animations, and interactive elements. Views are HTML elements, therefore responsible for their own layout, position and behaviours.
We will call a Control any views that initiate actions and convey information. Buttons, switches, text fields, and progress indicators are examples of controls.
Finally we will call Links any controls that initiate a location change or major change within the interface. Links allow us to link documents to other documents or resources, link to specific parts of documents, or make apps available at a web address. Almost any web content can be converted to a link so that when clicked or otherwise activated the web browser goes to another web address (URL).
